Carbon Shaft Suppliers

Looking to build a Mimi DLG and I'll need a carbon tube for the fuz, can anyone recommend a supplier?

If you want tapered and you've got a golfing mate, ask him to see if the golf pro shop has some broken carbon golf shafts.

Seems lots of folks break them allegedly in temper! ;D

They're great because the thickness increases down the shaft with decreasing diameter, making them really stiff.

I had a fly of one of these this weekend, great little plane.  It had an arrow shaft as a boom.  I think it might have been Aluminium.

Was it the built up or solid wing version, I was thinking of building the solid version as I've used this method before and it works quite well, other than there's balsa shavings everywhere!

second attempt at posting this... database error!

Built up wing, dope and tissue.  Pod split on one donked in landing but other than that very very robust.  His father was flying it and given it was teh first time he had flown anything other than on a simulator it survived very well!

He has built a Bonsi and also a Manta as well, for home scratch built gliders they are very good.  I think the Mimi only cost him a couple of quid to make!
