*enemas.

I think it has been talked up as a good sport/F3F plane so people just want to see it in action.. not too surprising really.

Oh, hang on - it isn't 'fly it like you borrowed it, land it like you stole it', is it!
So that's where I've been going wrong...

Back on topic :''

Maiden went with no problems on sunday,  :af  Flew empty and then with 80% ballast, After a few landings and tweaks started to feel pretty good. Tried a little reflex and noticed a big difference in speed (only model I've ever been able to tell a difference with)

Few more small changes and took it out for a couple of hours this evening, really got moving along nicely. And she doesn't make any noise at all $%&

C/G is now at 108mm.

Yum Yum, These Korean meat balls really are the dogs bollox.

I saw Ian do a roll on landing once. Top of the long man with his race M.
Came down through the rotor, dug in a wing tip, flipped over, blew downwind and ended up snapped in pieces but the right way up again!
Not bad for Ian.
To be fair his transmitter sticks do have a funny feel about them after around a 1/4 of an inch of movement. I don't think that bit of the gimbal has ever been used before!

Nice one, nearly finished mine so maybe my maiden will be next weekend. I can only get 10mm up aileron at the moment tho, looks like the wing skin is stopping me getting the recommended 12mm. I think if I use more flap to aileron mix it'll make up for it. I couldn't get the servo support bearings to fit tho, not big enough servo pockets to have the 10mm extra or so needed to be able to undo them if needed  :'(

Another 'best colour' model  :af

Ok, this isn't funny, who's moved my sense of humour?

I can give you an Honest , and i promise unbiased View of the Willow.
Mine is the Beta that Adam built in this thread,
so cosmetically its not perfect , however you do kinda have to overlook this because the new Willows are a much more consistent quality , but in real terms of performance there is no noticeable difference in the Air .
I don't know what your looking for Tony , but i can assure you that the willow is more versatile than i first thought it would be , i can do some nice Aeros with it . Not snappy rolls and flicks , but nice graceful rolls , loops , Bunts to name just a few things it has no problem doing , Its very responsive when flown fast , and i think that may be due to the way Adam has built it , no sloppy linkages and a very well balanced model .
I flew it Sunday in 40 mph off of the cliffs , and it eats the sky when you let it go , it was a little crossed conditions on Sunday , and i have a lot to learn about the into wind leg , but when it was going fast it really was shifting along nicely , i don't have enough experience to know i should have used a little reflex . But its a great plane.
Worth every penny , and i think i will do reasonably well in F3F comps with it .
But that's going to be the proof of the pudding. Until i get some times in a race i can only assume by how well i think its going . believe me when i say its easily the fastest thing i have flown , i got a 43.xx with my Typhoon in my first event , which i know is not as fast as Ive seen the Typhoon go on the cliffs. Pretty much guarantee the Phoon goes well sub 40 , well the Willow is a bit faster . but as i say , i need to get it Timed then i can prove it .
Easy to fly and land . a few hundred pounds cheaper than its realistic alternative .
                                      Whats not to like ,
I hope you can get a look at 1 flying , and even get your hands on it for a feel .

If you have any other questions i am more than happy to answer, its been going in Thermal low lift conditions and moderate and strongish winds . coped perfectly well .
I'm very happy with it so far  :af
