Yep. New foil and high aspect wing. Aparently they will be built with pockets in the wings that allow young simpley just screw the servos in place. Was built around the hyperions but due to so many of them failing It's being changed to accept the mks 6125s.

them model price is quite competitive compared to the d60, even may be cheaper than the new price. as always depends on the exchange rate when it comes in.

But the servos are a bit steep 1 mks 6125 mini, and 4 mks 6125 that's £300 just on servos.

Any Idea when they will be ready. I heard summer but that is here now.

Based on what I know (which could be wrong!):

K60 = US$600-650 (£380-£410) plus shipping from the US plus import taxes etc not sure what is included in the kit so additional parts i.e. loom, links etc may be required. Apparently built to take MKS therefore add £300 for servos. So probably around £710 incl gear but not including delivery and import taxes, unsure about whether linkages etc are provided - maybe someone else can illuminate? So maybe with delivery and taxes, an all-up price of maybe £800 or so? I dunno.

D60 = £375 from the UK incl all wiring, linkages, ballast system (ex fuse ballast), tipweight installed to your spec; UK delivery £17, or pick-up free; servos - wide variety are possible, but if you use Hyperion, cost is between £162-£172 depending on what elevator servo you choose. If you don't want to use the Hyperion wing servo (personally, I've been OK so far), there are other options which are fine which will keep you within that budget i.e. Graupner/ Futaba 3150 etc.

D60 all-up around £564-£574 including gear and delivery to your door. Future pricing on the batch after the one due in soon, likely to add around £75 to that.

Hope that helps.

Has anyone actually seen the new K60? I've not seen a pic of it yet. I'm sure it will be really interesting to see it.

Zim, why the comparison with the dynamic?

Can we not have the D60 thread cleaned up and unlocked to discuss the dynamic?

Hey Adam

The comparism to the Dynamic was already raised by Will. Thought I would provide some figures rather than presumptions to help with that - if I was considering either, then I'd find that info helpful, so given that I have access to the info, I figured it would be helpful to share it.

Whether I post that info or someone else does, it's still the same numbers. Don't quite understand why it's a problem if I provide the information  $%&

picture of the Kinetic 60 is on there website,

as for servos in the d60 I have used hitec 125s in the wing non digital and hyperion 09 in the tail, not sure you need anything else for front side flying at high speeds.
I like the looks of the kinetic 60 T Tail why not have both if you can afford, D60 now  and Kinetic later in the year - greedy or what !!1

neither models would be any good to you Ant you only fly slowly slowly, biggy biggy models,  with either of these models you would have to step up a gear with your eye sight.

just me :embarassed:

But if you priced it presuming it is $600 and that it wouldn't take too much effort to fit the same servos as the D60, and that a few of us chip in and order at the same time :''

and that's before we have took in to consideration if the K60 is actually worth more. but lets not get into another D60 debate,

I don't have a hidden agenda Adam. Spencer has posted that the K60 is designed specifically for the MKS to bolt right into. Of course I'm sure it wouldn't take much to mod it to take other servos. All I did was post each model with the set-up recommended by the designer of each. Fair enough?

I believe the pics on the website are the old K60 - I was under the impression that the one you're discussing is the new version, which has been revised a few ways from what I understand.

Maybe you're being over suspicious of me. Thought I was just making a post with some helpful info and also out of interest at a new model on the scene. But I guess you're convinced I'm doing something else. How dastardly of me!  ::)

Never thought otherwise Scott! I've just passed on the pricing that I've heard about. Which was talked about in dollars. Like I said, I don't have a hidden agenda. Just involved in a discussion, no big mystery.

Ditto. The similarity in the names always made me think they were direct competition for each other and needed comparing!

I haven't made any presumptions. I've just pointed out what I do know, and I've also clearly stated what I don't, or what I'm not sure of.

Thanks for taking the time to make that clear by helpfully highlighting the words which show that I'm not making any presumptions in my earlier post  ::)

If you actually know something, why not get off my back and share it with everyone else instead of posts about semantics?
