Fantastic!

Looked like a little lively in the video at times, but listening to the background noise and knowing how the weathers been it's no wonder :o

What a combination, Sir Ian's restoration and Ali's flying, and what a landing too - doesn't get better :af

Stu, my first Weston but I enjoyed myself today - well impressed with the pyro slot, you could feel it on the crowd line, and the 'red tracer' were clever, just need to be a bit more accurate :''

And as for Ali's first flight with the 262 today - I just can't think of words to describe it, apart for  :af :uk: :af

Paint will not hide imperfections, it will just change their colour!

Those pictures are excellent - you've caught some of the best of the action!  Just got back after 4 days camping at Weston.  Got home and realised I left my fuel station there so had to do another return trip - luckily I live only 10 minutes away :D  Great show alround, in many respects the best yet; at 4pm today the crowds were still 6 deep along the flight line and I have never seen that before on the Sunday!  loved the flying, the ME262 was incredibly but also  enjoyed the Dawn Patrol and Paul metcalf's Tempest - lovely.  I only flew in the EDF slot, 22 planes in the air at once was an interesting experience!!

It was good to meet old freinds and new - bring on 2012! :uk:

Thanks for the comps guys.

Just like to say thanks to MrB and all the groundcrew for making it run so smoothly (even with the showers on Saturday), and all the pilots ( both the old faces and a few newbies) for putting on a great show.

Also like to second what everyone has said about the pyros' ..stunning job fellas..although this guy with the Spit might not be so keen  $%&

Great show and so good to put faces to some names I've seen on these and other forums. Top job by the organisers and all involved.

My photos, not that I took a lot.

Cracking photos  :af  of a superb event. Not many shows that I know of that can suffer such poor weather, yet still be so well reviewed by all those that attended.
I cant remember doing a show which had so many memorable highlights for me. I drove home with a great big smile on my face remembering various slots. That Pyro slot has to be up there with the best of them. Pyro Stu and his team did an amazing job with explosions.... You know its good when pilots shout.. "Bloody hell! I can feel the heat from that one"  :D   I think that might be little old spit in Mr F's photo  :''
Too many high points to talk about really... I will be here for hours. Thanks to Steve Bishop, and all of the weston team that work so hard to make it happen, and roll on next year.. although I am hoping to take a year off and enjoy Weston Park 2012 from a different view point  :xx

Went on Saturday, it will be about our 14th year of going to the show. Thought the weather would ruine it, but only got the couple of big showers.  :af

I can honestly say i think it was the best Weston Park show i have ever been to.
A good mix of models including Alis 262, a credit to all concerned!! Great full size displays and the usual excellent range of traders.

Good idea to do the early pyros, lots of people still around and the loudest bangs, with most hits for a while  :)
Well done all!!

Looking forward to next year.

Short vid by Dave (aka MrFlash) of my eFutura. Understandably slots were a little rushed so I was asked to get the model in the air quickly. I forgot to select high rates so took a long run to get in the air. Longer than all the full size that took off that day  :embarassed: BUT it did fly and I it's cancelled out the experience of crashing it on take off at Bickley a few weeks ago.  :) Awesome model to fly on EDF power...and think I've got a plan for my next ambitious monster eProject to bring to Weston next year.

Hi ditchit,

I was there on the Sunday, however, RCMW have been in touch to do a pictorial article of Weston Park so unfortunately for the forum you'll have to wait - the pictures will probably go straight to my Flickr Page.

Steve, I'll be in touch very soon because I'm going to need some info as I wasn't expecting to do any sort of article :''

Hi Dunc,

Got several models doing the pyro thing, but no red 'uns - perhaps you should've had a Maclaren :nananana: Don't know who's the Spitfire was but I have a great one of that model going into & then coming out of the large explosion at the end. Love to know if the model was covered in soot when it landed :)
