Is that the remains of a Canberra I see behind the Pawnee?

Yep,  Canberra - see following link.  Intersesting to see that it was based Geilenkirchen in its better days - I was a member of the Geilenkirchen (now a NATO AWACS base) model club until last year.  I think the base has faired better than the airframe!

 Hi Linds,
Thanks for posting those excellent pics.
I think the Floatplane is a Sebart  Macchi MC 72.  ( Electric ) Available in three different finishes at £ 240 or there abouts.
It belonged to Ken Shepherd, but I dont think it took to the air.
There are vids of it flying off water and grass on the Sebart Web site though.
Regards, Dennis.

That's a bit of a beast! Fancy setting the valve clearances, must take a while ;D

Are the copper coloured patches on the floats surface radiators I wonder? $%&

An update on the Macci. It did indeed belong to Ken Shepherd and I was due to do the test flight while he got the flying shots for Model Flyer Mag.
But as we got to the flight line I noticed that the moter was running backwards!
As the light was fading fast he took the model home again to put right.
Hoping now for test flight and pics on Monday.
The copper coloured bits are radiators.... all over the place.
Lovely looking airplane though.
