I had an ace weekend with ace company in a ace place.

Thank you to those that came along and supporting the weekend. Ken, I hope you get sorted soon  :xx :af

I would like to post this link again, Pupcam posted it earlier in this thread, done by GilesFordCrush on this forum, a combination of film and CGI, it's top work indeedy. We spent a while watching this video and more at lunchtime today at Stow Maries, it's worth the trip alone  :uk:

http://player.vimeo.com/video/31897394?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0%22+width%3D%22400%22+height%3D%22225%22+frameborder%3D%220%22+webkitAllowFullScreen+allowFullScreen%3E%3C%2Fiframe%3E

Have you got any more links Puppers??

Cheers

Well, an absolute corker of a day today - an excellent mix of fun but with a serious purpose :uk:

Some excellent flying by DP (but if you could just fly closer together for the group shots ;D)

I really must get the Tripehound done so that I can join in the fun and I must do the pub next time too!

Have I mentioned what a stunning place Stow Maries is?   Many thanks for the invite by Russell and Ivor and also to everyone else working so hard to make this the place for WW1 aviation heritage.   When they finally get their "Friends" organisation going, I want to be Friend #1.

Anyway, here's my offerings from today

Alan

Thanks for this thread.  :af

I was there today.

My first exposure to Dawn Patrol. Very professional. :uk:

As stated in the last few posts somewhere, the job you did was very serious and purposeful, but within the fun element that drives aeromodelling.

Really hope you can all make the outstanding commitment to return to any future events held by SM, as I am a relative local, living within half an hours drive of the beautiful site. Not usually a fan of power flying displays, I would give up a day's r/c gliding, to see you all together in the air again.

Keep up the good work!

Jef

That was exactly how I felt when I woke up Sunday morning after an excellent day there Saturday Chris! So I just picked up the keys and got back in the car! An absolutely brilliant weekend! Hopefully I'll be able to piece together some video of it over the next day or so.

Sadly Kim amd I failed dismally to make it, as Rettendon church had their remembrance service at 3 and the cattle got out at 1 so by the time we had sorted them out it was time to go to church and we missed visiting Stow Maries. :'(

I was only able to get there on the Saturday but had a great tome with the DP'ers. Still have a sore neck from Corsair watching    :nananana: lol.

Nice to see some new faces and some of the old faces again.

Roll on the next one

What fantastic pictures Mat! really atmospheric in the morning mist :af Like the vintage ones too!
I threw this video together from Sunday when everyone was up. It's amazing how difficult it is to get a decent video when you have too much to choose from :) The clip I managed to grab of the poppy drop I have tagged on the end Is a bit shaky due to being fully zoomed in on the much higher flying models. I have some good close up footage from Saturday of 4 or 5 models I filmed individually. I'll post those up when I get them edited. Once again, a brilliant weekend chaps :af
