I like this:

http://www.t9hobbysport.com/item.asp?catid=102&subcatid=204&prodid=610

And prefer it over this:

http://www.t9hobbysport.com/item.asp?catid=102&subcatid=204&prodid=573

But my favourite (non scale) glider of all time is this:

Glider P0rn

the moth and the m60 build and look exactly the same - one is just a bit bigger than the other.

Its nearly as nice as a Blaster.

Going to call Ron Broughton tomorrow I think - seems a good start

Might also order a Slipstream to replace my beat up old zagi

In fact I might order a couple and get some practice in at covering with film which I have never done on EPP - but clearly need to be able to do.

Then I might just try and find a way to fill the nibble marks on the l/e of my bullet which I will then fill with lead.....

Yes über, use the same wing but designed a new fuse for each. Not that common over here. It's cheaper to import it. You can get one for 140$.

The ubercraft raven uses an m60 wing, but I believe it is actually a 2 piece wing - so the build is slightly different than a normal m60. There is no work to do on the fuselage, but there is obviously more work to do on the wing.

M60 all the way, ours has been a bitch to get right but its a great plank now ;D the gulp is also great but need to move the 5g stick on back and fourth for some reason (must work that one out .note to self)

I know you believe you understand what you think i said, but i am not sure you realise that what you think you heard is not what i meant.

I think I prefer the Akcent-2 where DLGs are concerned, and apparently it flies rings round the Blaster-2.

Oh, hang on - it isn't 'fly it like you borrowed it, land it like you stole it', is it!
So that's where I've been going wrong...

I seen them advertised on T9Hobbysport .

There didn't seem to be much info though (and they've sold out! I guess that must say something)

But it is beautiful.

In fact I like the look and feel of hand launch gliders more than anything - and when you bang a good launch in there is no better feeling. Because everything you've done yourself.

Very much like the look of the Elf too and at sub 1m its gotta take some beating.

It's not a high wind slope wing though!

To get back towards the topic, the OP could always wait for the Warhead to be available from them downunder. Looks awesomely strong.

I'm going to get told off if I keep putting links to rcg.. I try not to, honest Wiz!

The warhead is a project by a bloke down under who has made a small one already (30") and is now building a 60"er. It's a very very strong wing full of epoxy foam designed for high winds and DS.

I believe the plan is to start producing them any day now.

Just felt i needed to comment,on the setting up of 60" planks(cofg)i once had two m60,s and two polecats, all set for racing, they were set for ME and the way i like to turn etc ...NONE of the cofg,s were the same on either model, but they  were all tuned for my style of flying perfectly.cof g setting and elevator set up is critical ,we are not talking a few mm or so ,you have to nail em,some model planks can take me a couple or so hrs to nail  but it is worth it!i always set in the air and keep landing removing lead(start nose heavy)and reducing elevator until i have 1mm of elevator in each direction ,then my cofg is close, any more than 1mm movement is drag!m60,s are a little dated now but still a very fast model when built and set correctly.

plonker!

Yes, Mark is right.
Set up in the end is a very personal thing and it is also very dependant on the quality of servos being used. It's no point having a cg right on the edge of flyability if there is then slop in the servos and the model is pitching up and down without any stick input.
Use top quality servos though and you can (if you want) reduce the control surface throws to just few millimetres. That's when planks really start to bang the turns. Not everyone wants that though which is back to the personal set up point of view.

Seems to me that it should be possible to make a weight with a screw thread through it, on a continuous servo (or for a mm or two travel a standard servo might do the job), so the CoG can be altered in the air, or even preset by flight phases.

Abbo and Ron have been known to alter the CG of a model whilst in flight, but it's usually not their own!  ;D

I have a ron broughton sblitz, Tex covered complete with a spunkworks sticker you can have for 25 quid  plus postage ready to rock (although I cant remember if the rx is still in it) if you like.

Its an early one with corex elevons which were beginning to curl, easy to replace.

The think is quite literally doing my head in as it falls on it everytime I open up my model storage facility!

Liftseeker you want to snap his hand off an get it....Because its more a chevron, it will be a tad easier to set up than a plank
