Some one asked for a bit more detail. Hope it helps

A layer of polythene is stuck to the base board with carpet tape.
Then the bagging tape is set around the edge.
The moulds have had plenty of release wax .

All the parts are then cut to shape

So a mix of micro fibres and epoxy is laid down first. Let this go tacky.

Then the layers of cloth and wetted out

Followed by the peal ply

Followed by the air bleed fabric

Then the top layer of polythene is laid down onto the bagging tape and the vac pipe taped in.
It takes a bit of rubbing to seal this lot down. Then turn on the vac pump

So after its all dry I removed them..
A couple of hours with a file or two and here is the result ready for a coat of primer.

Not to bad me thinks. Will look ok when painted up I hope. Just need to make the working hatch next and final trim to shape when I get the fuz back

Brilliant stuff!
Still don't have a clue how you're doing it though.
Anyway - this is a top thread for the rest of us DV11 Fokker builders.
I am cracking on with my bog standard DV11 (engine fitted, control horns hewn out of fibreglass board - another first) and am sooo grateful for all the top tips.
The ones I understand are being incorporated, the ones I don't are being filed in the 'The Next Time I'll do this Properly' file.

(I've even had a master class session with the Cuss Meister on covering and finishing so who knows, maybe one day this year...)

Thanks Si - keep it coming!  :af

So I glassed the engine mount in with two layers of 200gm cloth inside and out and gave it all a coat of paint

The Fuel tank , two receiver switches and the receiver battery are now also final fitted

Spent last evening covering the fuz. Now its paint time. Nigel at Flightline Graphics is doing the masks so I hope to have them for next weekend

So its ready for a test flight
All painted now. A bit more lettering to sort when I get it from Nigel
A few jobs left to do such as the cockpit leather surround, the guns to finish, tie down points and the step, nothing major just time consuming things.
Ran the engine up as well while it was together as well.

Switches live under here

Exhaust was modded to come out here

Test flight soon then. Hope to fly it at Bath and West show at the end of March

4 flights tonight with it. Couple of silly bits to sort. The Exhaust extension came off and the Elevator  servos seam not to be centring very well
It was great though. Lands ace on the grass, not quit so easy on the Tarmac. Sounds brill with the geared 62 set up.
Well pleased. Terry took some video, just need to get it off him.
