Hi all  ...

Whilst grotting about in the corner of my build shop I came across an old JP "Bullet"  kit.  :)

Desperate for something to do in this foul weather I decided to tack it together.

Only trouble is  ....  no build manual !   :banghead:

Anyone got a PDF of the manual  ?  ...   or at least a COG ?

Cheers   .....    ::) ::)

If this is the EPP model with a fus like a double decker bus I wouldn't bother. It's the worst plane I ever owned and flew(?)

It took me a long time to find someone to give it to!

I can't find my plan, sorry. I seem to remember it flew better with tips giving about an inch above and below the wing section.

The fuz servos push fit into the fuz and the push rods exit the fuz sides.

I went to Sussex Models to buy a new fangled Zagi thing and they talked me into the bl***y thing. I should have sued them for distress and fatigue from collecting it from the bottom of the slope. That said it bounced extremely well. I hope you don't think I am exaggerating....

Just melt it all in to a big ball and throw it off a cliff

Agree with all of the comments! SMC sold me one of these years ago as a beginner. Should be re-named "The Brick". I nearly gave  up but then bought an SAS venom and didn't look back.

3 easy steps with a bullet
1: open bin
2: put bullet in bin
3: close bin
enjoy

I know you believe you understand what you think i said, but i am not sure you realise that what you think you heard is not what i meant.

put a motor in it and get a few mates with shotguns! You could give them a few beers first to give it a fighting chance ;D

Beer and flying works!

Very interesting   ...

I put up a post making a general enquiry reguarding an old model lying around, and what do I get ?

Two helpfull replies  ....   Thank you lads for your input.   :af

Thanks to Roger also  ....

And the rest of it ?

Flies like a brick !
Put it in the bin !
Make a boat out of it !
Use it for target practice !
Not worth building !
-----------------------------------------------

So  ..................

Attack the fus with a breadknife and get some nice rounded corners, and make it 5 inches shorter..
Stick a nice big fin on there.
A mixer on the flappy bit on the wings may help.
Cover the whole lot in glass tape.

St Agnes head
Wind 20/25 mph

Spend some time and effort on sorting the trim out, and launch it away  ...

Loops a smooth and tight as a ducks chuff  ...
Rolls as crisp as a frosty morning.
Bunts ?    Certainly sir !
Inverted  ...  No problem.

A model that does not fly well "off the shelf" does not mean that a little time and effort put into it will not produce acceptable results.

The fact that I was aeromodelling 50 years ago may also have something to do with it.

Flies like a brick ?        Rubbish !

Wait until the lift gets light and you will see!

Well done in any case. I have never seen such unanimous opinion in any vote on RCMF before but you proved us all wrong it seems....albeit with some design modifications.

We, my two sons and I, had hours of fun doing battle with these planes. 20+mph wind onto the 60ft rock face at Draycott, Somerset and they flew brilliantly! Fast and furious and just about indestructible!, but that's about all they're good for!

Isn't what this is all about?

I think you've just summed it all up...

Isn't it a case of picking something that works for you at the time and just enjoying it?

What d'you mean "just a weasel" - I love 'em

Its the diversity of the hobby that makes it what it is... And that's down  to the people that fly not just the huge array of things to fly

Yep, mine is one of them, and one of the best sessions I've had recently was using it as the 'prey' for 5 or 6 combat wings to try and hit.

Amazing fun darting about with the weasel in amongst a pack of frustrated wings...

Oh, hang on - it isn't 'fly it like you borrowed it, land it like you stole it', is it!
So that's where I've been going wrong...

No direct experience, but they do have a certain reputation...
