Will probably design it on 3D Cad first and then when I'm happy with what it looks like have a go at making it - I can afford to make mistakes on the computer.
It will probably take me a while but it will mean that we might just see a Phoenix rise from the ashes!
I'm thinking of keeping the fuse simple - making it from sheet balsa so it will be a bit like sheet metal design which I know, no awkward organic shapes to worry about - possibly not aesthetically brilliant but with my experience of this sort of thing (zilch) functional will be my priority; can always revisit later if I want to!

If you can do it with balsa, you can do it with ply, then clad in 1/4inch epp.
