I've always fancied a Hurri, but power's not my bag.
Would the Windrider offering make a decent PSS model? I wonder if the nose is too short to balance without a ton of lead, and I should go for one of the LEG designs instead.

Cheers

I think the Hurricane would be Ok ,
Although it is with retracts , so if you took out the retracts , then allow enough weight for a motor thats not there , I cant see you adding a whole lot to balance it .
As far as the Swift goes , personally i think it needs the wings stiffening . So maybe a carbon ribbon and New Stuff to sort that out , if its anything like the Fox , it will be a fine foam flyer .
But as Tom says , I dont think its a scale model , but its a good 2m foam slope floater , and if thats your bag baby who am i to diss it  :af

Oh, hang on - it isn't 'fly it like you borrowed it, land it like you stole it', is it!
So that's where I've been going wrong...

I've got a LEG P-51 60" (image below) which I ordered pre-shaped (highly recommended). The model itself is very good if not completely to scale but a tad heavy. I would highly recommend one especially as they are very durable being made of high density foam. I've also got a windrider A380 (image below) which is very light but can scuff damage easily. If the Windrider Hurricane is made of the same material as my A380, I would go for the LEG model. Also, the LEG model was designed for slopesoaring whilst the Windrider would be a 'conversion'.
Personally, I'd go for the LEG.

Red plane. White plane. Green plane. Blue plane. Yellow plane. Orange plane. I have lots of planes. I know that means you you admire me as I have more planes of greater value than you! I'm great.

It's a really nice job you've done of it as well. The finish is really good.

Flys pretty fast as well from what I recollect.
The LEG models do look really good I have to say.

Yeah, good point the Windrider 'scale' planes seem to be made of EPO and the LEG gliders are EPP. Big difference in durability. Pity no-one imports the LEG kits bulk so you have to pay $45 postage plus the inevitable duty and handling reaming charge. I'd have a LeFish too while I'm at it!
Nice Mustang there Andy. And the airliner's a good laugh.

Its a real shame about the delivery charges (call 'em what you will) because a lot of the things they do look very tempting.

I liked the look of the guppy but have to say the transport/delivery has put me right off. And its a shame really because eyeboys mustang really looks very good and there are plenty more from that stable. I particularly like the bd5 for instance...

Benny, let me know if you order from LEG I'll go halves with the costs. If you get the 109 I'll get the Mig 3 and we can chase Eyeboy around  ;D
Still got a fair bit of 'new stuff' left for covering. Maybe we can get one more order to cut the costs down some more.

John.

After watching Eyeboys Hawk cutting up the sky, I must say I'm tempted.
I just tried adding a second LEG ship to the cart and it adds on another $45 per model. We might have to do some sort of deal with surfimp.
I was thinking Zero or P40.

Hi Benny,
I'm thinking of building a hawk in the new year for a bit of formation flying with Tim and Andy, four would be a laugh.

You can pm surfimp (Steve Lange) on here, I know NCFM usually have one postage for up to three models, so hopefully we should be able to get a deal. Oh, and let me know I may change my mind about model type too ;D

Cheers, John.

My 48" LEG Mig3......brown paper covered then spray painted. The extra cost to have Jack pre-shape the fus was well worth it. A great flier.
