I suppose it's horses for courses
My wife cant understand how doing 193mph on a motorbike could be enjoyable
(the old bill were not to happy about it either)
and I guess like the high wind flying it depends on what parts you enjoy
and weather the + out weigh the -
I was flying on the Sheffield SA site at Ringinglow in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew, maybe not 100mph but bloomin windy- lost the model behind me on a landing circuit, it shot over the road. I went to get it and found a shocked motorbike cop sat in the road. He said "I thought it was an Exocet missile!" I packed up and scarpered...

wheres my pit b1tch?

A little custom really
it was a ZX 7 that had a race tuned ZX 9 lump all welded cranks etc, sorry my friend built it for me so it was a need to know basis and I did not need to know  lol all I know was it was pushing 220bhp and got to max red line in 6th in 12.5 seconds which we think was nearly 200mph but once over 150 you cant see the speedo coz of the road vibrations I only knew I was doing 193 coz the nice policeman in his volvo told me when he caught up me at the traffic lights, and for some strange reason he did not seem as impressed as I was  ^-^
I dont blame him for wanting the keys though it was a nice looking bike  ;)
this was 7 years ago
I am allowed to ride again now but only ride bike that go 100mph as it's just to easy to lose it

Fly it Like it's Stolen
Land it like it's Borrowed

anything over 50MPH would make you leave a real mess over the road if you come off ;)

Today Matthew I am going to be wing section MH32.

Impressive! No jail term? You were a lucky boy! ZX-7 was one of the most solid handling 750 chassis out there back then - nice. I used to love the red ones with the purple wheels (the R version had that scheme I think...) Used to be a Gixxer man, until my R1. Now I'm just a Mondeo man though!

LMAO!!
that sounds like me
but last summer the bug hit me again and I had to get something but what?
I got a little 400 bandit, so it's quick enough to make me smile and teach a car or two a lesson but so small it feels like a toy and hate doing anything over a tonne
the only reason I did not get jail was the police volvo drive had just bought a bandit 6 that very weekend  :uk:
but yes the ZX-7R was the better frame as the ZX9 was rushed out to compete with the blade, did not even have USDs but was a great engine in a shite frame so we sorted that, I do miss her but I would probably be dead by now

I had to laugh when my brother in law got pulled up on the motorway in the late 1990`s for being over speed limit in (I think) a battered old Morris Marina.

They did not take any action, but simply wanted to know how!  ;D

What a rarity hey, a policeman with a sense of humour whilst on duty. :)

That's what they wanted to know about...  ;)

There's a tale that some squaddies in a Scorpion tank were stopped for speeding on a dual carriageway. The manufacturers offered to pay the fine if they could have the ticket and photo to frame in their head office...

Oh, hang on - it isn't 'fly it like you borrowed it, land it like you stole it', is it!
So that's where I've been going wrong...

I'd believe it - I was overtaken by a Scorpion on an A road somewhere near Windsor in the early 90s. In my defence, I was a little distracted at the time and I'll say NOTHING more on that matter  ;)

I'm feeling it's a bit antisocial to bring this thread back on topic but I found this clip of the same cancelled EPP60 day at Tinkers as was posted earlier:

Just put the video code (lvWsXafYlGQ) between the Youtube tags...
