focke wulf 19 "ente"
« on: May 10, 2012, 09:15:51 AM »
Hi,all,I've just obtained a plan for the above airplane.Has anyone ever build this weird and wonderful craft?I would love a scan of the original build article,if anyone has it.
Unfortunately, the plan does not state the date,or even the magazine it was in,but I remember it being in the asp plans catalogue.
I intend to build it light, and use electric power.any thoughts welcomed.
Here's a vid of it:

I remember a chap who had one back in the 1980's, I think he was from the Sutton Coldfield area? Could be the original of the plan that's available?

Flew fairly well but had extremely poor rudder authority, was ok while both engines were running but tended to do an instant spin when one quit.

Published in Radio Control Scale Aircraft Quarterly, Spring 1987. Designed by Eric Burke. PM me your e-mail address and I can send you an article scan.

I seem to remember seeing a model of this aircraft flying at Old Warden back in the late 80's early 90's. I believe that was electric powered.
