First of all, an apology.  If you're used to visiting RCMF as a "read only" guest (not logged in) and you're wondering where all the good stuff has gone the good news is that it's still there but the bad news is, you're going to need to be a registered member to see it.  The reason for this is basically the new EU Cookie Law which is a complete and utter mess but, nonetheless, we need to comply.

One of the reasons the new law is a mess is that it doesn't adequately define what a cookie is.  For example, when you visit as a guest, your IP address is still logged, albeit temporarily and this, according to some sources is a cookie, even though no cookie is installed on your computer.

The reason then for limiting access to registered members is to provide the opportunity to read and agree to our cookie policy.  This is a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut but until the law is better understood and we can devise a more elegant and less restrictive policy, I'm afraid that's the way it is.
