ive brown paper and acrylic car painted a fun fighter and decided i would try something different for fuel proofing / finishing.so i used the Plastikote rasnge of spray on clear sealer. Its water based , self levelling , and dead easy to use. the first coat was given 1 hour to dry then it had 2 more coates.

it has taken 3/4 days to fully cure , but the finiiosh is totaly clear and very , very smooth.

Well ive tested its fuel proofing , and it seems ok, using neat fuel and the exhaust residue from a good engine run, it just wiped off from the surface with a few tissues to leave a nice clean surface.

fuel was 10%nitro, 15% synthetic , 2% castor.

The aerosol comes in gloss, satin , and matt finishes .
