separate battery for Rx

how do I wire a brushless set up but with a separate battery for the RX
Well Flown? tell the wife.

On the ESC to rx lead disconnect and fold back the red wire and tape it back on the lead. Then use a separate rx battery as normal through a switch.

Whatever is powering the rx make sure you treat the model as live once the flight battery is connected.

Turn on the rx first then plug in flight battery - you should get the normal beeps at that point.
