About the same size as a medium-sized pond over here, from what I remember Smiley

I love that yellow Ready 2...

here's my 2nd hand Cessna which didn't fly this weekend due to rain water submerging the Rx battery  Undecided

    http://www.rcmf.co.uk/gallery/albums/userpics/10457/Cessna.JPG
    Floats!

but it does fly nicely with the irvine 61 ...off either land or water

Note the starter tie wrapped to the 12v battery Azn...makes for easy restarting on the strip (when allied to a glowstick), and helping out clubmates whos batteries are dead/down/discharged

Mate of mine owns that Ready, helped him build it and I sometimes get stick time, lovely plane on a OS 46AX.
That was his worst arrival to date, I still can't figure out why the motor didn't stop as he went deeper than frame 4 shows.
I'm still pondering about what waterbird I should get for myself, I've got plans for a 1/8 Catalina Whistle

Here is one of my fav. pics of the Ready.

The top picture is our site as it looked last week,

    Floats!

This is the same spot last night!!    Normally the worst we see is a bit of standing water in puddles across the low points of the field..  At the moment, its more than three feet deep

The houses on the left skyline are in Toll Bar, Doncaster, which has seen the serious flooding during the last 24 hours. My heart goes out to them.   Cry

Just for the hell of it, my Seamaster is on charge.

    Hi Dave

I know you've got some quite huge stretches of water in Finland Dave, but Windermere's 10 1/2 mile length is enough for even me to take off and land safely!  Cheesy

P.S. Buster's Cessna was originally mine. He seems to like it!
