Nice pictures ! Funfighter looks like a million dollars. This 1/4 midget class, Where can i find the rules and regs for this class. I confused at why it has an under carriage ? Is this class not hand launched, and full speed ahead no carb or speed control needed.
    Please explain.

the UC is for the american market, those fat gits couldn't hand launch something if they wanted to, as for walking to it afterwards! hence the rudder for steerable tail unit
seriously tho, it's because most of them have tarmac runways.

the racers were standard engines with normal carbs

Phil QM40 is a completely different ballgame to Funfighters mate. I posted the pics up as they are the only scale-BASED class which is currently running with a good sized entry anywhere in the world, to my knowledge. QM40 models are not hand launched due to the .40 racing engine pulling about 25,000 rpm and around 3.5hp  Grin

Anyway, it is an American class - sort of their inbetween class between Q500 and F3D. Not far off F3D though. Hard to tell as they run a slightly differently dimensioned course to the FAI course so you can't really compare their times to F3D. Beautiful looking models though. Motors are full race, but less so than F3D and consequently are a little more fly out the box than F3D is.
