Hi,
Typing it into Google only comes up with Polhawn Fort which seems to have lawns, but they have a contact details page http://www.polhawnfort.com/contact.php ,  and maybe it would be worth phoning them up and asking if they know.

I believe it's next to the village of Polhawn, this map shows it if you scroll down to the P slopes and click on Polhawn Lawn:

I think you are right, although I got this location from Slopehunter, I think I have been at the wrong junction ( Polhawn Fort )....so close yet so far, many thanks for this, will give it a try and post back and as I type the weather has closed in....OH..and its raining, well there`s a surprise ! !

To clear the Polhawn Lawn mystery, I spoke to a local and there is no Polhawn Lawn only a Cove and Fort, I have attached a map of Rame head and the red squares are where I flew from this morning, the better one being at the junction of the road and drive down to Polhawn fort, lift was excellent and cold as well, good parking too, just across the road and the incline not steep so good for those physically challenged.[attachimg=1]

Good to hear it worked well.  That junction square you show is where I thought it was, but I can't remember who told me that.  Did the ground seem a bit lawn-like?  Like maybe it's a nickname somebody uses?

Polhawn Fort is a wedding venue come hotel and smart too, with nice LAWNS to have pictures taken, I guess its possible a guest flyer may have chucked one up from one of the lawns, but where I flew was excellent with lift backing up right out to sea and no limit on height,
Rame head itself was good, but if you meet local dog walkers driving to the head they are very arsy and unreasonable about giving way in the narrow approach lanes.
Thanks for your help on this one...Hore point next,,,dont go anywhere ! ! !

Fair enough.  So Polhawn Cottage and Polhawn Fort are next to each other but are not collectively called Polhawn.

I`m not aware of Polhawn Cottage, only Polhawn Fort, if these two reside inside the bounderies of Polhawn Cove, they could well be called Polhawn...your question being ?..

Cactus

you can park at the radio station, theres a huge expanse of grass infront, a kind of lawn. thats what i'd guess.
I know you believe you understand what you think i said, but i am not sure you realise that what you think you heard is not what i meant.
