It does look ok, shame. No wind and rain and quite warm. Sometimes you can't trust the weather forcast...

Really? We have had a flat calm day with no rain and even a bit of sunshine. Around twenty or thirty miles away.

Well it looks like it won't rain tomorrow but I am not so sure about the wind.
Even the forecast 12 kts is well above the stall speed of all my light weights so I will bring some that hopefully will be able to be able to cope and old enough that I won't mind too much if they can't!.
There is apparently a possibility the wind will drop towards the evening before ex hurricane Ophellia arrives on Monday with gales!  :D

A bit of  Autumnal mist and mellow fruitfulness whilst we were rigging in the morning but the day ended in lovely warm sunshine. Light breeze all day, and a good supply of filled Oatcakes to fill the inner man.  :af  Lots of familiar faces and some good banter.
So.....another triumph Ashbourne Club, many thanks for organising it for us Chris and Ian.  Much appreciated by all. :) :) :) :) :)
 Regards, Dennis.

many many thanks to all who took the decision that a foggy morning was just the right conditions to go flying in. another great day, one of those days that remind us that what we do we do for fun, great banter, great flying and good food what more could we have wished for,
and its on this final item i have to say a great big thanks to Top Cheff John, who comes to cater for our event has done from the very start, what you all dont see is his prep work, days before his trips to supermarkets and shops of all sorts assembling his menu, so many thanks john it would not be ashbourne scale day without your camp kitchen,
thanks to our frllow members of ashbourne club for allowing us to take over for the day, and with luck and your support we might try it again next year

BIG thankyou to Ian,chris and the rest of the Ashbourne team  :af

The weather turned out just fine despite the mist early on and the cloudbase lifted high enough for us to get lots of flying in even though some of the landings were a bit dodgy  :banghead:  ;D ;D

Roll on next year  :uk:

Judging by todays wild weather, the club had a lucky escape yesterday. Or as the old saying goes, 'The sun always shines on the righteous'.
