Dear All
Just two weeks to go until this event.
Our Jaguar is repaired after I tried my best to burn it to the ground.  ;D ;D

The DB Hurricane is also very close to being ready.
I hope we get a good turnout and some decent weather.

I forgot to mention Shaun (NNG) gave me a 60 inch span (roughly) Sea Fury
hopefully that will be ready also. It could do with a repaint but we will see
how it flies first.

We must have a 'Balbo' and a foamie 'Balbo'.

Regards Phil G.

I will have to check with the CO, but as I have regained possession of the Pup I may be allowed to attend. The Pup might even be converted from electric to IC by then, too.

That is the spirit 'Wilco', great stuff.
I am glad the Pup is to become a 'meat eater'.  ???

Well, the CO doesn't yet know if he can attend.

I told him retirement is no time of life for prevarication. Apparently he spent the whole of yesterday standing by his garage door wondering which motorbike to ride.

Anyway, I think I can recruit a new boy by the name of Browning. Good name for a Black Sheep chap, eh? He spent his life mending anything from 707's to Airbuses. He's an ARTF man at present but he does have a plan (and some wood to go with it).

Dear All
Not long to go now.
The BBC forecast is predicting the possibility
of light rain showers tomorrow, with the highest
risk of that of 35% at 1pm.

I personally like to use Dickie Scarbrough's extremely accurate
now cast.

Alas, our Hurricane is not ready.  :'(
Having had a conversation by carrier pigeon with
Sir Alan Antony 'Hogmanay' Pupcam, AKA the C.O.
regarding a large piece of ballast on the prop shaft.

That idea has now been abandoned.
The C.O. quickly formulated a new plan
regarding stand offs. I pointed out to the C.O.
that he was rather good at stand offs, his stand offs
are normally 35 miles plus.

That quickly brought the conversation to an abrupt end,
the C.O. was muttering something like insubordination
and riff raff lower ranks.

All joking aside is there anyone who has got a reasonably sized WW2
fighter that they would consider lending/selling to me please?
A long shot I know, but worth a try.

Regards Phil Goff

Dear All
I am about to leave for Tibenham, Yippee.

The weather forecast has improved with light showers at midday.
That is according to the BBC forecast for the NR16 area.

We must borrow Dickie's idea and have a mass foamie 'Balbo'

I hope to see some of you there.

Regards Phil G.

There were a few photographers but some were new faces.  Does anyone know where they posted their pictures?

Apologies.

Working Saturday and club BBQ and Warbirds today.

The light on Friday was not the best, so take them for what they are.

Dear All
I would like to thank all those who attended my
humble event last Friday. We had some heavy rain
at 11am it cleared out then for the rest of the day.

We had some really nice models present and some superb
flying through out the day.

Numbers were down again, there is not much I can do about that.
I try my best to make it an enjoyable day for everyone but I can't
force people to attend.

The next event at Tibenham is the Battle of Britain commemorative event
which is my favourite event. It is due to be held on Friday the 27th of September.
I must have our Hurricane finished by then.

Would you believe, I was phoned up today by a former
committee member of the Norwich club inviting me to
come and fly at Coltishall. It's a funny old World.

Once again thanks to all those who attended.
I would like to thank my helpers on the day, they are as follows.

Tony C.
Clive G.
Brian 'Cowboy' Cooper
Tony King
Kev 'The Maltese Falcon' Fairgrieve
Mark Hinton (Transceiver)
Lee Riley (Two goes with his spitfire)

Regards Phil Goff
