I have just been on the hobby king web sight they seem to recruiting staff around the world one of the jobs is for a UK ware house person in the north .Can any one shed any light on a UK hobby king ware house
i'm surprised they have an ozzy base
i could also be wrong, looking across at the hobby king advert there, but didn't wiz post up a little while back that with economics being what they were he was going to have UK only suppliers advertising to help them??did i dream that thread?
Is one of the jobs on offer for someone to put the cat out?Why ? Is it on fire again ?Ray.Amongst the pigeons? This has been rumoured for some time now, but, so far they have just been rumours.
Yes, will be open soon but not up North.
It will be interesting to see what the price difference is on their products when duty and VAT are paid. Customer service will be key, us lot have been spoiled with some excellent UK suppliers and their customer service and its become expected for all.
You want the cheapest products AND the best customer service?!
I think that anyone who overlooks the significance of HK is very blinkered. They must be the biggest retailer of rc products in the world.
Agree that anyone in the business cannot ignor them. Whilst I wouldn't be surprised if they are the biggest retailer by volume I suspect someone like Futaba who I believe also own OS might be bigger by turnover
Scott, you tease! That's gotta be the reason for the delay then? Shoulda come to Blackpool like I suggested. I could've run it for ya then.
I want them to stock Cessna 310 propellors
I think this is a good thing in general, They stock many good products at good prices. However I hope they dont find some tax loophole and that they have to trade on the same playing field as UK suppliers, it would be unfair if they did get around this.If they do manage to undercut the uk shops then were all in trouble, if 5 years it could mean that the only things we can buy are cheap crap foamies.CM
There will be many benefits for the UK customer of this operaion, the main one being a much wider choice of kits, parts & accessories than is currently offered in the UK complete with good prices.
Who are we? Are you saying that you represent hobby king?CM
Avoid UK tax? Hmmmm, I think we may have been beaten to it there.....we also sell a lot more than "cheap crap foamies" I think you will find to be honest! It's also a bit unfair to call them crap. There will be many benefits for the UK customer of this operaion, the main one being a much wider choice of kits, parts & accessories than is currently offered in the UK complete with good prices.
