So, two of my four Sceadu 50, all just dragged out of semi-retirement, and all of which are TT Redline 53 powered, have a issue to be resolved.

They start easy. (REALLY Easy, first spin after prime on an engine not used for two years)
They idle easy.
They blip up to clutch bite point hanging onto head easy and no falter.
They throttle easy and smoothly allowing blade rotation as far as you can before they reach take off loading and do not stall or falter.

All sounds etc are normal. Smoke normal.

At take off loading just as all the weight comes on them as the skids lift they cut dead. Clean instant total cut.

There is NO symptoms at all before this happens, its like throwing a cut switch on petrol.

Restart with no other action is instant and repeats above, have even started one warm by flipping the starter wand over by hand!

From quick swaps/inspection, NOT plug, not glow fuel (20%), as have swapped into ones that DO work and they still work.  Tx is FASST Futaba CG!0 using memories for each model untouched from flying them as before, they compare closely on settings.

clogged fuel filter?  only allowing a slow flow rate.....air leak in the fuel lines that have perished in the intervening years?

Fuel filters are free flowing, all pipes stand pressure.

I ran one up today but unable to get to field to get it up to take off revs.

At one point I let it idle for several minutes, and it happily revved away from that and on closing throttle dropped back and idled again.

Vibration causing fuel foaming?
On the ground it's dampened but once it starts to lift the vibration causes frothing.
