2 Stage flap on JR X3810
« on: May 08, 2018, 21:33:04 PM »
Hi All,

I've just bought a Durafly Tundra and am having great fun playing with the flaps, I have them on the three position switch, I have them set so that with the switch up (designated as E-F On) the flaps are raised, in the middle position (designated E-F Off) flaps are at 45 deg and with the switch down (Landing mode on) flaps are at 90 deg. With full flap I have mixed in some down elevator linked to throttle which works well however I'm trying to do the same in the half flap position but as the switch is in the OFF position I am unable to make any mixes active and the model just balloons straight away.... any ideas. I know that the radio will work if I use centre off and up for half flap and down for full but I like the idea of sequential switching.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Regards,

Tony

Hi All,

Bit of an update, I've abandoned the sequential idea and gone with the up for T/O - centre for normal flight - down for landing, however in the centre 'Off' position the flaps lower to a random position that I am unable to adjust unless I reactivate the flap knob with which I can adjust the 'OFF' (flaps raised) but then I can't get enough down flap for landing!!!

I don't feel that I'm trying anything too advanced?

Maybe its time for a new radio..... I'm off to Wings and Wheels next month (haven't been for years), am I likely to get a good deal on a radio? (Thinking of getting a Taranis X9D Plus)

Tony
