Futaba 617 Rx
« on: March 14, 2017, 17:10:42 PM »
Having a run of bad luck at the mo.....or just ham fisted  :banghead: :banghead:, but ive just destroyed the bind button on two 617 receivers in the space of two days!!
Can these be repaired at Ripmax? or is there any other reputable place in the uk that can repair them?

Or do i just hit em with a mallet and buy more modern Rx 's

cheers for any constructive advise  :co

You could contact Ripmax or Mike Ridley http://modelradioworkshop.co.uk/servicing/

the aircraft on the bench had a 617 in but i decided to change the aircraft to another Tx so switched on tx and green light flashes on rx, remove rx from plane for better access to bind button and use small watch screwdriver or similar tool to hand to re-bind.....flash flash nothing happening.....five minutes later the button crumbles into the rx interior  :''

er x2  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

well i can now report that i drove down to Ripmax (only half hour or so) on Wednesday lunchtime, and by Friday lunchtime i had in my hands two repaired 617 rxs and a Repaired Futaba 10 Tx......not only that but they carried out more work on the Tx, that was wearing out internally (rudder trim switch), in fact all trim switches were replaced and repaired the aerial that i had forgotten kept coming loose.

So Fantastic Service from Ripmax, credit where its due, cannot fault that service at all.

cheers DP
