HELP - Spektrum - "Rudder" on Aileron stick
« on: November 22, 2018, 09:10:15 AM »
Don't get to do much Spektrum wrestling these days and I'm stuck!

I need so set up an old DSM2 DX7 and also a DX6i so that the rudder channel is being operated by the aileron stick.

This for a "toy" hovercraft using an old Nano QX board so the Tx operates like a car transmitter, Mode 2, throttle left, steering right. It is a simple quad control board so cannot "change channels" as fixed inside flight controller. (No servos to simply hardware swap channels!!)

Have done this perfectly OK on a Horus mix, but no way am I letting kids use my Horus!!

The DX7 is the more pressing need.

I thought mixing "Rudder" (yaw) onto "Aileron" for steering would be easy, but cannot get it to work!!

Help!!

BTW, I'd prefer the rudder stick movement to no longer have any effect to avoid kids operating both by accident.

I have solved it.  Just!

I was mixing as you say, BUT nothing was happening........................then I went searching and somehow the aileron dual rate was set to 0%

DOH!   ::)

Its a lot easier with FrSky where its all on a single screen line to check and not splattered over several screens

When you cleared a memory in the radio and re-initialised it,
 doesn't it set everything back to neutral / normal ?. :study:
