It was recommended to clamp in a vice and heat and bend the fuz wood.Hope you remembered to fit the root wing rib at the required angle
The side frame is packed up off the bench to match longeron as it already has ply ply side glued on.
I am quite new to this building mallarki only completed one other build so any advice would be appreciated. Top/Turtle deck being built separately? It is seperate on the plans and a couple of the pictures Jan "ADFA Models" sent with the kit show it separately. I guess I will see if this is a good or bad Idea when I come to marry them up.
Question?I am not overly happy with the very small glue area with cyparis longerons and upright, I was thinking of adding some small ply triangular braces to each of the joins. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Considering that the Cyparis although being technically a soft wood, is in fact hard and dense, I am using 30 min epoxy but I still don't think the bond is that great.Advice please?
I think it wouldn't hurt, some like to pin each joint with a cocktail stick or carbon rod also. Does the plan suggest stringing the fuz up too?Muds
I have made a start at last on my one.Not sure if you have noticed there is some solid sheet wing tip and aileron tip reinforcement pieces in the box. They are shown on plan although it may not be obvious,to the 2-am eye. How-ether there may be a modification to this.Have to wait and see what post man brings.
Any goodDoes show top deck raising to meet tail
The Triplane has the same arrangement where the stringers turn up at the end to form the fairing for the front of the tailplane. (Attachment Link) Alan
Where do I get a prop that looks like this, or do I have to make it myself?. Beautiful,
