In Cornwall for a week...
« on: June 07, 2011, 17:09:29 PM »
Afternoon all,

I'm going to be heading waaaaaay down south this weekend for a few days, and I thought it would be a good idea to sneak a model or two in the back of the camper with me, on the off chance I get a bit of time to have a bit of a fly.  I've not got many models in airworthy condition at the moment (certainly not ones that take up a minimum of space) other than my Jibe2, and Unicorn wing.  Both of these are electric, but both fly off the slope really nicely (the jibe in strong winds, the Unicorn in not so strong winds).

Anyway, I'll be staying not too far from Hayle (Tehidy), so I was wondering if there are any good sites for flying/sloping that I should head to in particualr winds?  I've hear St Agnes is pretty good, but anywhere else?

Cheers
Andy

nah, it's wall to wall rubbish down here  ;D

squirmish has his own thread going at the mo, he's staying about 5 miles away from tehidy, your even better placed with the A30 just a few hundred yards away to go where ever you want.
check out http://westcornwallslopers.co.uk/ for our wind compass and slope guide
also www.rcflyers.net for the local power site, about 2 miles away.
I know you believe you understand what you think i said, but i am not sure you realise that what you think you heard is not what i meant.

Cheers Cactus,

I'll check out some of the sites nearer the time then, when I know which way the wind is blowing!  Keep an eye out for me flying a black and yellow wing, badly ;)
